If you’re planning on buying some new fall fashion or accessories – you might want to opt for the bamboo suit or cedar shoes...
The Pantone fashion color report for fall 2011 is out – and these colors are in:
• Bamboo – a standout yellow with a green undertone. It pairs well with phlox.
• Phlox – a magical deep purple with a hint of mystery.
• Coffee Liqueúr – rich and decadent, it’s a savory alternative to basic black.
• Nougat – a deliciously warm camel tan.
• Orchid Hush – a unique tone of gray with complex orchid undertones.
• Quarry – a reliable medium gray.
• Cedar – a versatile, mid-toned neutral green.
• Honeysuckle – a playful, reddish pink which adds a bold punctuation point.
• Emberglow – a traditional autumnal tone which emanates the warmth of a glowing fire.
• Deep Teal – a strong, blue-toned green which suggests ocean depths and the color of the sky as daylight descends into darkness.
But wait – there’s more. Pantone also has a few suggestions specifically for the men – nuanced variations, depicting a more masculine style:
• Raspberry wine – which has more sparkle than a merlot.
• Burt Sienna – serves as the standard, fall classic. Ties, scarves and pocket squares in this warm orange are a must.
• Cadet – this perfect marriage of blue and gray is an indisputable classic.
