The air doesn’t just smell different after it rains - it is different. What changes, in a minute...



Mmm - smell that rain...
Spring showers will soon be in abundance and we should really be smelling as much rain as possible. The reason the air smells cleaner after a rain shower is because it is. Negative ions in the rain actually rinse toxins from the air and improve oxygen quality. Breathing in that post-rain air can actually reduce symptoms of asthma and other respiratory problems. A few deep breaths of that extra fresh air and shot of oxygen will also trigger a release of serotonin and make you feel good.
