Greek yogurt is all the rage - but is it healthier than regular yogurt?

If you think paying a little more for Greek yogurt is a healthier choice - you’re right, usually...
It’s important to check the labels if you’re shopping for nutrition. You’ll want to be sure your Greek pick is not loaded with sugar and fat. According to Tanya Zuckerbrot, author of “The Miracle Carb Diet,” Greek yogurt usually has less sugar and lactose than other yogurts. It’s also got twice the amount of protein and less sodium than conventional yogurt.

Greek yogurt sales have been skyrocketing and it seems consumers are starting to prefer it’s thicker, more satisfying consistency. While it does have a bit less calcium, going Greek is a good choice for dieters because it’s got half the carbs of regular yogurt.
