Photo Op

The month of June is peak picture taking season...

June is chock full of photo ops. Graduations, Father’s Day and weddings usually call for taking pictures of people outside. Here are a few tips from the pros at Kodak:

• Turn OFF the autofocus. That gives you more control instead of letting the camera guess.

• Move your subjects into the shade. Direct sunlight is harsh, makes people squint, and can wash out colors. That’s why cloudy day pictures often look the best.

• If you are in the sun – turn your flash on and move in closer. That will help illuminate the people and reduce some of the background glare.

• If you’re taking a picture of one person or thing – try moving off center a bit. You’ll wind up with a much more interesting shot.
