ADD Advantage

We hear a lot about the negatives of Attention Deficit Disorder. Here are some positives...

If you or someone you know has Attention Deficit Disorder, you already know the list of challenges that can go along with it. According to Edward M. Hallowell, author of “Delivered from Distraction,” there are some positive traits that go along with adult ADD, such as original thinking, a zany sense of humor, remarkable persistence and resilience, warmhearted and generous behavior and a highly intuitive learning style.

Dr. Hollowell says people with ADD need to focus on what’s right instead of just what’s wrong. Those hidden strengths and potential talents can be developed with really positive results. Think about what you love to do or what lights you up – and then practice mastering those activities.
