Is it okay to give your pet human medicine? No!
Giving human medications to your pet could kill them, so don’t do it. Veterinarians occasionally prescribe human meds for animals, but they are experienced enough and know which ones are safe for them.
Cats and dogs are actually attracted to some medications that could kill them, so be sure to keep your prescriptions where they can’t be sniffed out and ripped apart. Common pills that can cause pet poisoning include pain killers, anti-depressants, sleep aids, birth control pills and statins.
