The latest report from the Highway Loss Data Institute say those two vehicle styles are a favorite among thieves. The Ford F-250 and the Chevy Silverado top the list. Even those with ignition immobilizers can be stolen by brazen crooks using tow trucks or flatbeds to haul them off. Rounding out the top five hot vehicles are the Chevy Avalanche, the GMC Sierra and the Ford F-350.
Car thieves can’t be bothered with some unpopular models. The least favorite rides include the Jeep Compass, Toyota Sienna, Hyundai Tucson, Honda CR-V and the Lexus HS-250.
