If you’ve got one of those collapsible mesh laundry hampers, beware, they’re really dangerous, especially for young children...
Over time, the fabric that holds the spring wire in place tends to fray and those wires can pop right through with a lot of force. There have already been some reports of puncture injuries from those wires, some serious, right at eye level for young children.
If you do have a collapsible laundry hamper, it’s best to keep it away from little ones. The CPSC says you should inspect the hamper carefully and get rid of it if you see the fabric is compromised in any way.
