How much should you spend on your 4th of July picnic?

If you’re spending more than $60 on your 4th of July picnic - you’re overdoing it...

According to the American Farm Bureau Federation, the average cost of an Independence Day picnic is less than that, at $57.20. You’ll only be able to have 10 people, total. On the AFBF menu: hotdogs, cheeseburgers and buns, pork spare ribs, potato salad, baked beans, corn chips, lemonade, chocolate milk and ketchup and mustard of course. For dessert, it’s watermelon. If you’ll be charging your guests, that will be $5.72 per head.
