If you love your BLTs or bacon and eggs, Britain’s Nation Pig Association has some bad news: 

A global shortage of bacon and pork is now unavoidable! Annual pig production for Europe’s main pig producers took a dive in the past year – and shrinking herds means we’ll be bringing home less bacon, or paying a lot more for it.

Thanks to this year’s Midwest drought, the U.S. Department of Agriculture says higher costs for, or lack of pig food such as soy and corn will only be adding to the bacon deficit and driving pork prices up.
