Former FBI Counterintelligence Agent Jo Navarro says how the shoulders look is a key factor for those who seek to prey on us. Confident people who prefer to be in charge will most likely have rigid, military-like shoulders, while slumped, heavy shoulders could indicate someone feels defeated or depressed.
It’s also important to watch for shrugs. A duel shoulder shrug is the classic unspoken “I don’t know.” People also tend to shrug their shoulders to emphasize a statement. However, if you notice just one shoulder rise or drop, that could be a sign of deception or lack of confidence on their part.
