Your daily routine could be making you look old. What to stop doing...

Are you a multi-tasker? If so, you could be speeding up the aging process.

Some everyday tasks can make us look and feel older than we are. Making a few changes to your daily routine can slow the aging process back down:

• Multitasking: Even if you’re good at it, it creates stress resulting in cell damage. Concentrate on one thing at a time.

• Eating sweets: Too much sugar can leave you with dark circles under the eyes, increased pore size and fine lines.

• Lack of sleep: Anything less than 7 hours can leave you mentally sluggish and prone to weight gain.

• Not enough sunscreen: It’s not just for vacation. SPF 30 every day, even when it’s cloudy, will save years off your look.

• Too much makeup: Heavy makeup not only enhances fine lines and wrinkles; it’s hard on your skin and can speed up the aging process. Taking it off can be harsh too. Stick to light-weight gentle cosmetics and cleansers.

• Drinking straws and water bottles: Puckering up on a regular basis can leave you with smokers wrinkles around the lips. Use a glass instead.

• No-fat diet: We all need some fat. Going no or low-fat can leave your hair, skin and nails brittle and dull.
