Did you know there’s a health risk associated with selfies?

Hey Ellen, Jared, Tanning and Meryl – you might want to check for head lice.

According to Marcie McQuillan, a California head lice removal expert, there has been an increase in lice infestation among teens due to selfies. She says teens are sticking their heads together every day to take selfies and the lice are ready for their closeup.

While it may be worth mentioning to your child or teen – it seems adults are less likely to wind up infested. First of all, most don’t pose for group selfies on a regular basis. Secondly, lice infestation among adults is much less common than in kids.
