We all know soda isn’t good for us...
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention – over half of us drink at least one sugary drink every day. Sugary drinks include non-diet soda, energy drinks, sweetened bottled waters, sports drinks and fruit drinks. Statistics say men like the sweet stuff more than women – and teens and young adults consume more than any other age group.
So how bad could it be? Not only are sugary drinks linked to weight gain, obesity, a poor quality diet and type 2 diabetes – they can also increase your risk of dental problems and bone fractures. Dietary experts say we should stick to 100% fruit juice, low or no-fat milk, or good old water.
