If you drum your fingers or spin your ring - good for you!

Do you drum your fingers or play with your pen?

If you're a fidget – good for you! Chances are you’re burning an extra 500 calories a day and could shed an extra pound a week. People who drum their fingers, bounce their knees, twirl their hair or spin their ring are generally slimmer than those who don’t, according to research from the University of Hertfordshire.

The bad habit stigma of fidgeting is being redefined in some psychological circles now, as studies show children who are allowed to fidget often perform better on memory and learning tests.
