...usually about smoking, drinking or diet. And it turns out a lot of us don’t fess up to something we really should – depression. A recent survey found at least 43% of patients keep symptoms of depression to themselves during their checkup because they think emotional stuff might be off-topic.
Experts agree, keeping depression under wraps can be really hazardous to your health. Left undiagnosed and untreated, depression can take a physical toll on your body and brain. It’s important to let your doctor know if you are suffering any physical symptoms of depression such as lack of appetite, sleep problems or chronic pain.
