Roses are red, and yellow and pink and orange. Which you should choose for Valentine’s Day...

If you’ll be sending roses to someone on Valentine’s Day, be careful with the color.

While light pink may be her favorite, it signifies sympathy in the world of roses. Red, of course, signifies love. Here are your other options, choose wisely:

• Dark Pink – Thank you
• True Pink – Joy, Happiness
• White – Innocence, Purity, Honor
• Yellow – Friendship
• Lavender – Falling in Love, Enchantment
• Orange – Passion, Excitement, Desire
• Black Rose – Death
• Blue Rose – Mystery, as well as, Success

A dozen roses can range in price from about $40 to $200. You should not pay more than $100 for a dozen quality roses. If that’s not in your budget, don’t rule out the single rose. It can be a simple, eloquent way of saying “I love you.”
