If you like orange juice, skip the fresh squeezed and go frozen.


Back in the day, frozen orange juice was the way to go. 

Fresh squeezed wasn’t really available unless you squeezed it yourself. Despite all the choices now in the orange juice aisle, it’s better to skip that and head for the frozen food aisle. Frozen juice is made from the whole fruit – peel and all. Those orange peels have a lot more of the powerful antioxidant called hesperidin than most “fresh-squeezed” varieties.

Frozen orange juice also costs a lot less than juice in the bottle. It will last several months in the freezer as opposed to the 7 to 10 day shelf life of fresh.
