Botox might make you look younger - and feel more sad. The Botox blues...

Botox injections can change the way you look AND the way you feel...
If you’re tempted to Botox those wrinkles away, keep in mind that it may erase some of your emotions too. A recent study looked at women who had Botox injections in different areas of the face. It turns out the Botox affected their mood, according to the location of the injections.
Because our facial expression send signals to our brains, the frozen muscles can interrupt that process. Women who were treated for frown lines rated themselves as feeling less sad a few weeks later. Those who got jabbed in the forehead were treated as more gullible or anti-social with the lack of eyebrow expression. The saddest of the bunch were those who had their laugh lines paralyzed. Less smiling resulted in fewer happy signals to the brain and lower levels of happiness.
