A lot of college graduates will be transitioning into “real” life this month...

Brace yourselves – recent college graduates are on the loose!

Before you kick your college ways to the curb – the writers at Forbes Magazine have some advice:

• If you played division or intramural sports - keep playing. Join the company softball team. Play soccer in the park. It’s a great way to network and make new friends.

• Schedule at least one get-together a year with your best college buddies.

• Never, ever burn bridges. You may despise certain folks at college or on an internship - but thanks to karma and coincidence those connections will come in handy further along in your career.

• Encourage well-wishers to buy you Facebook stock.

• Pick where you want to work and take any job you can get there. Smart people will rise in any organization.

• Don't worry about not knowing what you want to do. You may not know for sure till you are 30 or even 40. Your career is a journey, so enjoy the experience of learning new things and meeting new people.

• Open your wallet. Take out your credit cards. Now cut them up and never use them again.
