Spray sunscreen is really popular – and flammable!
There have been some recent cases involving serious burns while applying spray sunscreen near an open flame. Spraying aerosol sunscreen near open charcoal or gas grills pose an obvious hazard – and experts are still trying to determine whether that sunscreen is still flammable once on your skin.
To be on the safe side, it’s best to apply sunscreen about 20 minutes before you head outside. Take the same precautions with aerosol bug spray, especially if you’ll be using it near the grill, torches, or a fire pit.
