If you’re staying in a hotel room, leave the TV on when you’re not in the room and hang the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. It’s also a good idea to leave the light on in the bathroom and the door slightly ajar. If you must leave valuables in your room, hide them in some dirty laundry, towels or bedding.
You’ll also want to consider carrying 2 wallets. Put some cash and loyalty cards in one and your ID and credit cards in another. If you get held-up, hand over the wallet with the loyalty cards.
