The next time you’re washing whites – keep it light... 

White loads of laundry need some extra room in the machine. If you’re washing a small load – set your washer to medium. If it’s medium, choose large. If the load is too full, those whites won’t be rinsed as thoroughly and detergent residue will lead to yellowing.

For really bright whites, consider drying them on the line instead of in the dryer. The sun’s ultraviolet rays will make natural fabrics like cotton even brighter.
