The next time you’re stuck in traffic – roll up the windows!
Even if it’s a beautiful day, you should roll your windows up in traffic. A new German study found that people who breathe in fumes in traffic, or live by busy freeways, are more prone to hardening of the arteries - and are at greater risk of heart attack. According to the researchers, the level of damage was about the same as that of someone exposed to secondhand smoke.
