Who works longer hours – men or women?
It’s not clear whether they’re working harder – or whether it just takes them longer – but men have a longer workday on average than women. A study of full-time workers revealed the average workday for a man is 8.2 hours and 7.8 hours for a woman.
If you guessed the women end up doing more housework once they get home – you’re right. The ladies logged in an average of 2.6 hours a day on activities like cleaning, cooking and lawn care – over the guy’s 2.1 hours.
So who works harder at sports, recreation and leisure? Men – 22% of them find time for that on a workday compared to 16% of women.
