Most of us wind up with ring around the collar on that light colored shirt, especially in hot weather. Shampoo to the rescue! Ring around the collar is made up of body oils and dirt and shampoo is designed to target just that. Work some into the collar before washing as usual, and that collar should be back to normal. It could take more than one treatment on really tough rings.
If you’d like to prevent ring around the collar, try wiping down your neck with some witch hazel or facial astringent before putting the shirt on.
