Just a spoonful of honey can do wonders for your sleep. Dr. Stephen Sinatra, author of “The Healing Kitchen,” says honey increases the activity of serotonin and also helps the bran curtail alertness. He suggests taking a half teaspoon of honey about 45 minutes before you hit the sack.
Honey is also great for minor burns. A recent study found a dab of honey was more effective than the standard dressings at speeding up the healing process.
