We're all worried about our children. Here are some apps that may help...

If you and your child both have a smartphone – here are some apps that may give you some peace of mind as a parent:

• Life 360 Family Locator - Lets you know the location of family members and what safety points or threats are nearby in real time using your phone's GPS. It also has a messaging platform so that family members can communicate.

• FBI Child ID - This free app from the FBI lets you store photos and vital information about your kids so that you can provide it to law enforcement officials immediately. It also allows you to email that information to the authorities. It’s also got tips on keeping kids safe and other resources for parents.

• Strong Kids - This is an app that teaches kids and teenagers about prevention and self assertion. It also provides them with ways to build their confidence in critical situations and how to behave correctly in face of dangers.

• iHound Phone & Family Tracker – This app has the ability to automatically check into designated locations. You can also opt to receive an email when your child arrives.

• Family GPS Tracker — This app gives you the exact location of your child or family member. It can alert you when they’re in trouble and has a check-in feature.
