It’s National Hand Washing Week! 10 ways to celebrate...

Happy Handwashing week!

The Centers for Disease Control would like to help you celebrate with a list of when we get to wash our hands:

• Before, during, and after preparing food

• Before eating food

• Before and after caring for someone who is sick

• Before and after treating a cut or wound

• After using the toilet

• After changing diapers or cleaning up a child who has used the toilet

• After blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing

• After touching an animal or animal waste

• After handling pet food or pet treats

• After touching garbage

The next time you wash your hands, really get into it and do it right. First, wet your hands and apply soap. Put those hands together and scrub. Don’t forget the backs of your hands, between your fingers and under your nails. Now keep scrubbing for at least 20 seconds. Sing Happy Birthday from beginning to end twice – and you’re done. Rinse and dry thoroughly and celebrate again often.
