How do people spend their time around the holidays? Who better to ask than Timex?

Time is ticking away to get everything done for the holidays...

Timex is keeping track of how Americans are getting it all done, on time. Here are the results, courtesy of Glenn Mandel at Catalyst:

• 60% of us are willing to wait on line for 10 minutes or more to buy a gift.

• 26% of Americans had their shopping done a month ago.

• 42% of us buy our gifts between a month and a week before Christmas.

• 4% of us do our shopping the day before Christmas.

• 3% of Americans actually put it off until Christmas day.

• 22% return unwanted gifts within 48 hours.

• 60% do their returning within a week.

As far as Christmas day is concerned, there is no rest for the weary. More than 50% of children will wake up by 7 AM. 74% of women say it will take more than 2 hours to cook the meal.
