It’s actually the buttons on your jeans that could set off the reaction. They’re usually made of nickel, which is a fairly common allergy trigger, especially for women.
If you love your jeans but not the itch – there is a solution. Apply a thin coat of clear nail polish to any buttons or rivets on your jeans that may come in contact with your skin. A recent St. Louis University study found this to be an effective fix.
