Mark your calendars for Back-to-School Saturday on August 10th!
Like it or not, some retailers are already clearing the shelves for back-to-school stuff. Like so many holidays and retail opportunities, back-to-school creep is getting a little earlier each year and now there’s a special shopping day in the works akin to Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
We have Teen Vogue to thank for the promotion. They’ve designated Saturday, August 10th as THE day to get into the back-to-school spirit. Several back-to-school teen favorites have already signed on, including Aeropostale, American Eagle, Cover Girl, Maybelline, Pantene and Staples. Students will be encouraged, mainly through social media, to look for and use #btss and the slogan “Get ready, get set, get shopping!”
