Folks in Amesbury, Massachusetts have recently raised the pay-it-forward bar...
Saturday, July 15th, a doughnut shop drive-thru customer decided to be nice and splurge for the person behind her in line. The next person liked the idea and 55 orders later a new pay-it-forward record had been set at Heav’nly Donuts. So what was that stingy 56th customer’s excuse? They were the last car in line and would have to pay it forward somewhere else.
To date, Winnipeg, Canada still holds the pay-it-forward title. 228 Tim Hortons customers paid for the person behind them in December of 2012. Sadly, the 229th customer took a pass on the good deed and refused to pay for the three coffees behind him.
