If you plan to water your lawn after work tonight - don’t bother...
According to lawn care expert Matt Maurer, that’s the worst time to do it. He says when we water the lawn at night the water just sits there - and that’s the perfect condition for fungus to grow. Maurer says early morning water is the best, preferably between 4 and 10 am. He also suggests watering twice a week, tops. Too much water leads to fungus and shallow roots. Less watering encourages deeper roots and a healthier lawn.
