Germs are everywhere! Even on soap!
There are a few things you can do to avoid getting stuck with whatever is going around. Health.com has some simple steps to take that really help:
• Get outside. Not only does getting some fresh air several times a day give you a break from the germs inside – it actually increases your immune function.
• Relax. Go out of your way to find down-time if necessary. Stress makes you much more vulnerable to bugs and viruses.
• Wash your hands. It’s a no-brainer – but we just don’t do it enough. Soap and water are our best friends. Skip the bar soap though – germs grow on those.
• Sleep is more important now than ever. Anything short of 7 hours a night triples the odds of catching a cold.
