Have you eaten you water today?

Eat your water!

The old rule about drinking 8 glasses of water a day is a bit outdated. Howard Murad, author of “The Water Secret,” says those guidelines date back to about 1945. He says we actually get a lot of our daily water requirements through our food – IF we eat the right stuff. Fruits, vegetables, beans and cooked grains soak up a lot of water – and that counts. You can increase your water intake even more with foods like cucumber and watermelon. They’re more than 90 percent water and have the added bonus of some vitamins and antioxidants. Dr. Murad says eating enough water each day can be a lot more effective at keeping us hydrated than the old 8 glass rule.
