* Electronics: 29%

* Dinner or something homemade: 24%

* Greeting card: 14%

* Tools: 13%

* Sporting goods: 8%

* Books or music: 6%

Rounding out the bottom of the barrel in gift ideas are appliances and clothing - and yes, that would include a tie.
