Is your bra giving you a headache? How that happens...

Women’s bras come in many shapes and sizes...
...and some could actually pose a serious health risk. Experts say four in five women are wearing the wrong size which can result in seemingly unrelated discomfort or even illness. Chiropractor Lorna Mills says women come into her clinic with rounded shoulders, curves in the back, marks from straps and under-wires and dents in the shoulders - all signs of an ill-fitting bra.

All of these tell-tale signs can lead to poor posture, tension, discomfort, or worse. Tight straps can result in pinched nerves, neck pain and headaches, while bras with under-wires can put too much pressure on the ribs and around the oesophagus, triggering chronic indigestion and heartburn. Ill-fitting bras can also interfere with breathing and blood flow and restrict lymph flow to the breast.
