Scientists have discovered the ultimate post-workout drink...


It’s not water, Gatorade or energy drinks – tomato juice is the best thing to drink after a workout...

A group of Greek scientists tested athlete’s vital signs over a period of two months. They were split into groups and given different post-exercise beverages. The group that had to guzzle tomato juice wound up in first place. That’s because the lycopene in tomatoes are full of antioxidants which sped muscle recovery and returned glucose levels back to normal faster than the other drinks. 

The compounds in tomato juice are also more effective at repairing damaged cells and delivering some much needed post-exercise fiber, carbs and sodium.
