If you’ve got a sore throat – get some pineapple. How it helps...

The next time someone in your family has a sore throat – stock up on pineapple...

Researchers at NYU’s Langone Medical Center put pineapples to the test and found they could significantly reduce severity and length of sore throat ailments.

The plant compounds in pineapple reduce inflammation, lessen pain and can help strengthen delicate throat tissues. Fresh pineapple is best because some of those compounds are destroyed in the canning process. The recommended dose is 1 cup daily. Not a big pineapple fan? Papaya is another good option.
