Does that tie really go with that suit? Advice from the pros...

While women may have a lot more options in the dress-up department – the few that men have are just as important...

Esquire Magazine has some advice. Now check and adjust:

• When pairing ties with your suit, the width of your tie should be the same as the width of the suit lapel.

• If the jacket has more than one button, don't button the bottom one.

• Those shoulder pads need to end WITH your shoulders.

• With your arms at your sides, your knuckles should be even with the bottom of your jacket.

• Jacket sleeves should fall to where your thumb meets your wrist and about ¼ inch of your cuff should be visible.

• Your suit pants should have one inch of break while standing. That's where they crease at the shoe.
