We all should. If the potential salmonella in the raw eggs doesn’t scare you – maybe the contaminated flour will. According to Karen P. Neil of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a recent outbreak of food poisoning from E. coli, which sent 35 people to the hospital, was traced back to raw store-bought cookie dough.
