Check the Pump

If you choose your gas station by the price on the big sign – check the pump too!

You see two gas stations – and one’s got a lower price on the big sign. Double check the price on the pump itself BEFORE you fill up. Gas stations often set the price at or around where their competitors are. The price on the pump is sometimes a lot easier and faster to change than on the big sign. Make sure the two coincide before you pump at a much higher rate than you thought. If you do notice a difference between the pump and the sign – make sure to bring it to the station’s attention.
