American plates are making us fat...
Generally speaking, Europeans weigh a lot less than Americans. One of their secrets is the PLATE! American plates – and portions – are getting bigger and bigger – especially in restaurants. European plates are about 50% smaller than ours – and so are their portions. According to Chuck Porter, author of “The 9-Inch Diet,” by switching to smaller plates – we’ll consume about 1,000 less calories a day – enough to lose two pounds in a week!
