That extra 10 pounds might be just what the doctor ordered. Japanese researchers just finished a massive study and found that people with a bit of extra weight typically live about 7 years longer. They’re now saying that a few excess pounds provide extra padding and fuel that can help us battle illness and injury.
If you’d like another reason to skip your diet – people in their 50s with an extra five to ten pounds on them – look about five years younger.
