Are guys with low voices more likely to cheat?

Whether we know it or not – we judge people by the sound of their voice. A new study asked men and women to rate which voices belonged to people more likely to cheat on their partner. The men with the lowest-pitched voices were the winners – or losers. Women rated them as most likely to cheat. Some of the female voices were perceived as up to no good too – the higher the pitch – the more likely to cheat.

Dr. David Feinberg, advisor of the study, says our perception isn’t necessarily unfair. We know that men with deep voices and higher pitched women have more testosterone and estrogen, respectively – and higher levels of hormones increase the odds of promiscuity.
