Is the thermostat a bone of contention in your home? Who likes it where...

If you and your partner can’t agree on where to set the thermostat - don’t blame gender.

While some people think that women are more likely to turn up the heat, recent studies say it’s not that cut and dry. Men, menopausal women and overweight people tend to heat up at night and may sneak or lunge towards the thermostat to turn it down.

The researchers have found the best thermostat compromise setting for sleep. They found most people sleep best between 60 and 70 degrees meaning 65 is the sweet spot. While that may sound chilly, keep in mind your bed absorbs and traps the heat in so you’ll feel a lot warmer.
