Did you take your magnesium today? Why you need to...


If you’re not already taking it, you probably need some magnesium. 

Dr. Dennis Goodman, a cardiologist and author of “Magnificent Magnesium,” says 80% of us don’t get enough. Here’s why it matters. Low magnesium is linked to heart disease, stroke, headaches, depression and more. 

Who needs magnesium? Dr. Goodman says if you are generally healthy, you can’t go wrong. If you have a lot of stress in your life, assume you’re low in magnesium. And if you take calcium, you need extra magnesium too. If you suffer from frequent headaches or migraines, magnesium may even provide some relief. As with any supplements, check with your doctor first. You can also have your magnesium levels measured. Ask for a magnesium red blood cell, or RBCmg test.
