If you get the flu – wet your socks!

The next time you get the flu – wet your shirt or socks and put them on...

Thomas A. Kruzel, author of “The Homeopathic Emergency Guide,” says home hydrotherapy really works to reduce the muscle aches that come along with the flu. Here’s the protocol: Before you go to bed, soak a cotton T-shirt in cool water. Wring it out as much as possible, brace yourself – and put it on. Put a dry shirt over that. The same trick can work with wet socks too. The damp duds increase your immune activity and will reduce muscle aches.

Dr. Kruzel says pain relievers can help with flu-related muscle aches too – but they also reduce fever which is one of your body’s healing mechanisms. He also says the wet clothes therapy is NOT advisable for anyone frail or elderly.
