We all REALLY need to be eating strawberries...

Don’t forget to add strawberries to your shopping list...

They’re REALLY good for you. Dr. Leo Galland, author of “The Fat Resistance Diet,” has a few great reasons to stock up and enjoy:

• Strawberries boost metabolism by increasing your production of the hormone that curbs your appetite. They’ve also got a component that stimulates fat burning.

• Strawberries are good for the brain. They help with the preservation of memory and learning ability.

• Strawberries have only 53 calories per cup and are loaded with vitamin C, fiber and antioxidants. They even have some calcium, magnesium and potassium.

Dr. Galland says strawberries should be considered a 100% guilt-free treat. The best way to eat them is fresh and naked, without adding sugar or cream. Make sure to thoroughly wash your strawberries first, their texture tends to hang onto more pesticides than other crops.
